Guided Maine moose hunt


Come on a hunt for Maine's largest and most prestigious animal. The moose is the largest member of the deer family, standing up to seven feet tall, with dark brown fur and a shoulder hump. Female moose, which are called cows, average 836 pounds at 3.5 years old or older. Male moose, called bulls, average 1,106 pounds at their prime age of 5.5 years or older. The largest bull ever harvested in Maine had a dressed weight of 1,330 pounds which means it would have weighed approximately 1,767 pounds! ~Maine Inland fisheries and Wildlife~

We guide bull only hunts in WMD zones 4, 7, 8, 9, and 14.

All prices include only the permittee and sub permittee. Additional hunting party members can be added for $100 per hunter per day. If party exceeds four, and additional guide may be required.

Butcher and taxidermist fees are not included.

Fully guided moose hunt
Fully guided six-day hunt starting at $3,000. A guide will be with the permittee and sub permittee while hunting. If a moose is harvested, guides will assist in recovery and transporting to the tagging station and butcher. Lunch is provided.
Semi-guided moose hunt
Semi guided hunt starting at $1,350. A guide will direct the permittee and sub permittee to a pre scouted area. The guide will remain available and local to assist in tracking, and retrieval of any game that is harvested. Guide can assist with transport to the tagging station and butcher upon prior request.
Guided day moose hunt
Guided day hunt starting at $500. If you don't need a guide for an entire week, you can hire one by the day. Lunch not included. If retrieval of the moose exceeds two hours past legal hunting hours, an additional fee of $250 will be requested.
